25 ways to use and SAVE MONEY with Lemon...


Here is a list of 25 ways to use and save money with doTERRA's Lemon CPTG Essential oil. I'm sure there are many more ways to save but here's a start. Many commercial chemical products contain essential oils, they just also contain harmful chemicals as well. Why not use the pure version and use it in so MANY different, helpful ways. It's cheaper and much more healthy for you and those you love.

(Prices listed below are to give a rough estimate of cost. I did not look for the best deal. These were the cost of these items at local stores in my area. Prices may vary per state and location. This is just to give you an idea of what you may be spending on these items.)

1. Use as Air freshener and air sanitizer: 1-2 drops lemon oil and water in small spray bottle. Cost of Commercial Chemical Air Freshener: Febreze $3.29, Lysol air sanitizer $3.75
2. Use to flavor Lemon frosting or icing. Add 4-5 drops lemon oil to taste. Commercial Lemon extract: McCormick Lemon extract, 16 oz., $15.86 (Lemon extract contains Alcohol(83 percent), water, and lemon oil)
3. Use as a furniture polish. Combine 2-3 drops with 2-4 Tbsp of olive oil or canola oil. Commercial Chemical Furniture Polish: Swiffer dust and shine, citrus zest scent, $5.29
4. Use as a antibacterial and antiviral surface cleaner for Kitchens or Bathrooms. Use with water, 3-4 drops lemon oil in spray bottle or mix in water bucket. Commercial disinfectant wipes: Clorox disinfectant 35 ea. wipes, citrus scent, $3.99
5. Use to relieve sore throat pain. Mix 1-2 drops in 8-10 oz. hot water. Add 2 tbsp. honey and 1/8 cup fresh lemon juice or to taste. Helps relieve throat infection, bronchitis, asthma and flu. 6. Use a couple drops of oil with shampoo for greasy, oily hair. Commercial Shampoos made to alleviate oily hair: Pantene Pro-V Clarifying Shampoo, $5.79
7. Use lemon oil with lavender oil to help alleviate dandruff or psoriasis. Also good for cradle cap. Commercial Shampoos made to alleviate dandruff: Zincon Medicated Dandruff Shampoo, $6.99
8. Use to clear acne and alleviate oily skin. Commercial Chemical Acne treatment: Neutragena oil free Acne stress control, 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne treatment, 2 fl. oz., $7.99.
9. Use a drop of lemon oil to help ease painful cold sores. Commercial cold sore pain reliever: Carmax, .5 oz. 2.49, Biofreeze pain relieving gel with ILEX- 4 oz., $14.99
10. Use to rid skin of dead skin cells. Commercial exfoliating face wash: Ambi Even and Clear, 5 oz., $7.49; Philosophy the microdelivery exfoliating wash,8 fl oz. $25.00.
11. Use as a message oil to help with circulation. 1-2 drops Lemon oil with carrying oil such as almond oil, olive oil, or fractionated coconut oil. Commercial massage oils: Burt's Bees Vitamin E Bath and Body oil with Sweet Almond oil and Lemon Oil, 4 fl oz $7.99
12. Add 1-2 drops in a glass of water and drink to aid with digestive problems, helpful with constipation. Digestive Advantage, Daily Constipation Formula, 30 caps., $11.99
13. Use to clean and disenfect toothbrush after use. 1 drop lemon oil and 1 drop peppermint oil.
14. Combine 1 drop of lemon oil, baking soda, and water to use as toothpaste. Commercial toothpaste: Crest, Regular toothpaste, 8.2 oz., $3.99

17. Use Aromatically to lift mood, aid with depression and stress.
18. Use as a water purifier at restaurants. Add 1 drop to glass.
19. Use to alleviate head aches and migraines. Rub 1 drop on temples and back of neck. Commercial over the counter drugs: Tylenol Extra Strength, 225 ea. $15.99
20. Use to get stains out of clothes. I use 1 drop of lemon oil, some hydrogen peroxide and a little detergent. Rub mixture into stained area. I got permanent marker out of a dress with this technique. Commercial Stain remover: Spray and wash laundry stain remover, dual power, 22 fl oz., $5.99 (and you still wouldn't get permanent marker out!)
21. Use to help dissolve cellulite in problem areas. 3-4 drops Lemon oil with 3-4 drops Grapefruit oil (optional) and 2 Tbsp. carrying oil. Rub onto problem area. Commercial Cellulite cream: St. Ives Cellulite Gel Creme, 6.7 oz., $8.29
22. Use to help sooth broken capillaries and varicose veins.
23. Use to help reduce a fever. 1-2 drops on bottom of feet and head. Commercial Over the counter drugs: Motrin IB Pain Reliever/Fever reducer, 200 mg. cap, 100 ea., $9.99
24. Use to remove gum from carpet, hair or clothes.
25. Use to alleviate heat exhaustion or recovery drink after working out. 1-2 drops to taste in drinking water. To help with weight loss, put 4-5 drops lemon oil and 4-5 drops grapefruit oil in a gallon of water and drink throughout the day.
